Paris in six days

 

Paris is somewhere I’ve always wanted to visit, even when I was really young – not exactly sure why but who cares!

This in mind while Mona and I were throwing holiday destinations around it was at the forefront of my mind. With the help of some friendly Instagrammers we managed to organise a quick to-do list, like we usually do, of all the best things to do and see.

I love visiting other cities and countries during holidays, as a real sucka’ for Christmas it was hard to contain some of my festive cheer as we walked through the pretty narrow streets of Paris draped in lights and decorations.

Let it be known that I had no idea what was happening this weekend, so on the Friday night JD & Coke seemed like a great idea!

(if you only read my blog you’d think I drank all the time… I don’t!)

Needless to say Mona and I slept all morning and eventually stumbled into the car and set off with our eyes set on exploring the Mendips, more specifically hoping to find some folk-style nature-scapes.

It seems logical to lump these two adventures together as both are equally good reminders to not drink so much the night before you plan to get up really early and head out with the camera.

Last minute plans

If 3AM rolls by and your girlfriend texts you saying, Aaron the forecast tomorrow is cloud all day! Wanna go take pictures somewhere? The answer is always yes.

Dan Andriano 9/11/15

It’s been three years since I last saw Dan Andriano perform live, since then he’s released a new album and pulled together a new band but to be honest not all that much has changed when it comes to his performance… In a good way! Intimate on stage ramblings, great responses to the audience and the level of performance to be expected from a well travelled musician.

It’s always hardest to get the ball rolling

I’ve been trying to get a new band going now for quite a while, pretty much since the end of my last band in January. With the amount of hours I was doing at work it became hard to keep up the search for the right project, I would take on just about anything. More than anything I guess I just wanted something I could use as a big fuck you which is probably not the best or most mature way to approach these types of things.

A day out on a rainy Saturday

With the amount I had been working I rarely got to tag along with my family outings so today’s visit to Lacock Abbey & village with my lovely girlfriend and family was a welcome adventure!
